Solutions for Evolution: Dancing with Discipline
Jacob Patrick Ellis & Nicholas thales Giordano
In this edition of Solutions for Evolution: Dancing with Discipline, we will be working on cultivating a personal practice, a spiritual discipline, that which is called Sadhana in the yogic teachings. There are eight limbs in the teachings of yoga and in the second limb, Niyamas, Self-Discipline is the focus. Here it is taught how vital it is to master your discipline with self. In our previous edition of our workshop we concentrated on the Energy of Discovery, now we focus that energy and direct it with intention each and every day to create a life we love.
Life itself is a dance, we are constantly moving through the oscillating energies of this journey, the joy & sorrow, the light & dark, the effort & ease. Change is inveitable yet with the right tools and techniques Mastery is achievable! The universe is here to support our every wish, but we must first shed the habits that no longer serve us and begin to cultivate practices that sustain us.
During this workshop we will dance through a combination of the powerful tools we use in our own personal practice;
Breathing through Meditations, Mantras, Movements, and Mudras.
Experience discipline as your best friend. Know the importance of working on yourself, balancing mind body and soul and uplifting your spirit with consistency. Allowing you to be you, an unshakable force of light and joy in the world. And to be strong enough to withstand the pressures of our time.
So what do you say, Would you like to Dance…?
“Ill tell you this today, ill tell you tomorrow and ill tell you every day: You have one friend and only one friend-you and your discipline which will give you all that you need. The rest are promises.” -Yogi Bhajan
“When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.” -Wayne Dyer
