Sacred Sonic Soundbath

Sacred Sonic Soundbath

Bridget Yanni has been immersed in the healing arts for 30 years; Sound healing once was something fun and sacred that Bridget would often use at the end of a session or Yoga class. Over the last 5 years she has evolved and fine tuned her skills with two large Chau Gongs, Chrystal singing bowls, Bronze singing bowls, tuning forks,Tibetan bells and more.

Sacred Sound is a pure Catalyst for healing within the deeper more painful wounds caused by childhood trauma and worldly dysfunction. Sound has the power to dispel and to harmonize; we need both.

Sound is impartial and offers itself by communicating that which is beyond all human language.

Join us as we dispel the calamity of trauma and harmonize the discord through movement, vibration and meditation.

Dress comfortably, we will do a very gentle Tai Chi inspired movement sequence followed by a short 5 minute Pranayama (breath work) a 40 minute Sound Bath a 10 minute meditation and a 10min Savasana.

Investment: $45

Life can be stressful especially around the holidays so come join us for a relaxing yoga practice with the sound healing of tuning forks.  We promise you will leave the class feeling relaxed, refreshed, renewed and ready for the holidays.

Restorative Yoga can help by providing your body the time it needs to let go and unwind the tension that has built up.  The poses are designed to use prompts that allow you to go deep into a pose without holding muscle energy.  We hold the poses for a period of time to give the muscles the time they need to let go and relax.

Acutonics is a healing modality that brings the sounds of the Universe through the use of precision calibrated tuning forks. Applying tuning forks to acupressure points and chakras provides noninvasive access into the body’s energy system, allowing the power of sound vibration to realign the body, mind, and spirit.

About the Practitioners:

Sandra is a 200 E-RYT and a 500 RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) and Reiki Master Practitioner.  She has studied both 200 and 300 hours of therapeutic yoga at the AmmaYanni Yoga Center & School.  She has also completed several certification programs on Restorative yoga. Sandra has been teaching yoga for over 7 years and has been practicing yoga for 13 years. She teaches standard asana class (with modifications for those who struggles with poses), yin yoga, positional therapeutic yoga, and restorative yoga.

Lindsay has completed Acutonics Levels 1-3 and has been practicing sound healing with Acutonics tuning forks for 3 years. She offers individual and group healing sessions incorporating sound healing, breathwork, medicinal aromatherapy, and intuitive guidance. Ammayanni Yoga Therapy (AYT) - Basic Body Balance

Instructor Scott Muir, CMT, CYT-300, RYT-500

Investment- $45

This system of yoga instruction and practice has been developed by Bridget Yanni. Its main focus and approach is to undo common postural imbalances often caused by mis-aligned postural tendencies in everyday life activities and re-educate the structural system to hold healthier stress and tensegrity. Our goal is to help students live pain free where possible.

Inspiration for AYT comes form Bridget’s studies throughout her career in Neuromuscular Integrative bodywork & massage; Polarity Therapy & Energy balancing work; Positional Therapy bodywork and Hatha Yoga.

Scott Muir graduated from the first AYT 300 hour Yoga Therapy Teacher Training at the Ammayanni Yoga Center & School. He also, like Bridget, studied under Lee Albert, founder of Integrative Positional Therapy. Lee is also the Author of “Live Pain Free”.

Our Basic Body Balance Intensive is an instructional worksop to give students a more in-depth understanding of how one can alleviate chronic tension pain caused by ones own postural imbalances.

Scott will lead a short lecture on how posture affects the structural anatomy followed by our Basic Body Balance sequence.

Inroduction to" Balancing the Polarities in the Body (Day 2)

  • Amma Yanni Yoga Studio and Center (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

This is a two day workshop, Saturday and Sunday 12-6pm open to anyone interested and holds CEUs for Yoga Instructors.

Must take both days

Our identities as human beings are rooted into an Earth energy, our true identities as Eternal beings, extending from Divine Source is mysterious. As we embark on a path of self-study and discipline we begin to understand our human components and how to care for ourselves; we awaken to a broader sense of Being, an ever expanding and evolving energy cluster beyond space, time and form as we have experienced within this Earth realm. Our yoga practice shifts from a necessary discipline to a much richer expression within the ART of living. We open and allow the Divine Source of Creation to flow with and through us in our experiences, sharing the exploration of self in Self. The opposing forces we once thought hostile and unwanted become new starting points which propel our movements in new directions, leading us to have more expansive expressions of life itself.

There is a question before the “Atma Vichara” How? How did all this begin? Let’s start with John 1:1 “ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the word was God”. We can link it to our Eastern studies of OM/AUM.

OM-sound (ether/space) creates movement (air/ desire) together they create heat (fire/intelligence), the heating and cooling within the field(space) simultaneously creates condensation (water/emotion) and carbon (earth/form). This process of creation reverberates and repeats from the macrocosm to the microcosm, from this process of energy play relationships begin to form between cause and effect; universal laws and patterns arise through vibrational currents, electrical currents and polarities; light bends, creating color schemes; reverberations of OM/AUM resound, creating tones and melodies; intervals and measurements of space creates a sense of time which seems to separate vibrations and tones into form and flow. Within these relationships of cause and effect consciousness is born. Currents and vibrations continue to “step-down” in magnitude and force segmenting consciousness like the cells at the moment of human inception, at a certain increment of measurement, consciousness begins to differentiate repeatedly and endlessly. We, as eternal beings are a segmented aspect of original consciousness, our vibration comes from that first Sound/OM. This gives us a direct connection to source and a certainty of drawing from that course whatever we need, But first we must remember and “step-up” our vibrational segment of consciousness.

Join us as we embark on a journy of Self-enquiry through these hands on protocols and dynamic asana practice.

Kirtan is a musical expression of devotion, a ‘call and response’ chanting style, that is gaining popularity within the Western yoga community and beyond. With roots in the ancient sacred traditions of India, the Sanskrit mantras sung at Kirtans are words of great vibrational power. Kirtan is a practical method of repetitive singing that allows us to quiet and transcend our rambling “monkey minds.” Chanting in the company of others offers us the opportunity for deep and transformative healing. Understanding the meanings of the mantras or having expert musical abilities are not requirements: anyone can reap the benefits of Kirtan by simply chanting and allowing the higher vibrations into our open heart.

Yvette will be joined by her Band of Bhakti musicians. Please join us and allow Kirtan to carry you effortlessly to a place of stillness and joy!
